All lesson packages must be completed by the end of the 2009 summer season. Lesson packages are transferable. All clinic and cardio packages are for the duration of either 7 days or one month and are not transferable. Reservations are required and a 24-hour cancellation policy is in effect. Any no show will result in a charge of the full price of the clinic. Clinic packages are available from Saturday, May 9 – Sunday, October 4. Friday – Sunday, May 15 – 17 Professional Tennis Registry International Certification Workshop – Tahoe Donner Tennis Center is pleased to welcome the Professional Tennis Registry. The Professional Tennis Registry is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with over 13,000 members in 122 countries.

Saturday, May 23 Memorial Day Season Opening Tennis Party (aka The Brickyard Classic) – This 2-hour+ kick off event to the 2009 season of tennis is sure to please. Tennis players from 3 to 93 will have fun at this year’s opening party. Sign up the kids for one of the already scheduled tennis clinics, bring a friend, and make new ones as you play round robin doubles. Saturday, June 6 Tencap Round Robin – This competitive round robin features the Tencap tennis handicapping system. A fun yet challenging doubles format that will allow players of different abilities to compete against one another. Tahoe Donner is excited to offer the Tencap system for free to all Tahoe Donner Tennis Center players. 1 p.m. $20, $18 TCM
Saturday – Sunday, June 13 – 14 Tahoe Donner’s First Annual NTRP Tournament – This exciting weekend offers singles, doubles, and mixed doubles to players ranging in levels from 2.5 to 5.0. Saturday – Sunday, June 20 – 21 Second Annual Junior Satellite Tournament – Tahoe Donner is proud to host this wonderful junior tournament again. The satellite format allows developing junior players an opportunity to experience tournament tennis. Come down and cheer on our local talent or watch a future Grand Slam Champion in the making. noon $25 singles, $18 doubles
Saturday, June 27 Wine Tasting and Tennis Mixer – Join us for a fun-filled evening of tennis and wine tasting. This team event is both challenging and fun. Once the tennis is complete, the event is only getting started. A wide selection of the best wines from The Lodge Restaurant will be poured. Appetizers will be served to compliment the selected wines. Wine Tasting only is also available. 4 p.m. $20, $18 TCM
Saturday, July 4 Fourth of July Tennis Carnival – Spend your afternoon with us participating in events geared for the whole family. Compete in the Round Robin, King of the Court, Tiebreaker Shoot-out and other events. Sign up for one of the many free clinics that will be offered. Try your hand at the fast serve, free throw or one of the many other games on our Carnival Court. Lots of great activities for the kids will be scheduled including clinics, a Little Tennis tournament, face painting, coloring and probably some bug squashing to keep them happy and entertained. The BBQ will be fired up all afternoon serving Fourth of July favorites. 1 p.m. $12, $10 TCM
Friday, July 10 – Friday, August 14 World Team Tennis 2009 – Get ready to team up and have a show down as we start our second season of World Team Tennis. This competitive format brings a fun twist on the conventional game as lets are played, no-ad scoring and every point counts as you try to help your team to victory. Players can sign up for all six weeks or sub-in for a single week. 5 p.m. $5 per week
Saturday, July 11 Burger Bash #1 – This Tennis Club sponsored event is a great way to sharpen your skills, meet new people and play some fun-filled tennis. The event starts at 3 p.m. with a tennis clinic from our certified teaching staff. The mixer starts at 4 p.m. and is a challenging yet socially-focused round robin. 3 p.m. $10, Free for TCM
Sunday, July 12 Pro Exhibition and Ice Cream Social – This is a Tennis Club sponsored event and brings together some of the area’s top players including some of our own Tahoe Donner teaching professionals. Spend a couple of hours cheering on your favorite player and enjoy free ice cream on a hot July afternoon. 3 p.m. Free event
Saturday, July 18 Parent/Child Tournament – This event gives the whole family a chance to get out and compete. The format of this tournament is to split into age and level divisions so everyone can participate. Each child that competes will receive a prize and everybody who plays is a winner in this event. 2 p.m. $10, $8 TCM
Saturday – Sunday, July 18 – 19 2009 Pro Team Tennis Calcutta – Starting with the Saturday night player auction and social and culminating with the Sunday award luncheon this Team Tennis event is a can’t miss on your tennis schedule. Saturday evening’s social has our tennis professionals creating their teams to spend Sunday morning doing battle for the 2009 Calcutta title. 6 p.m. Saturday

Saturday – Sunday, August 1 – 2 Tennis Club Doubles Championship – Join the Tennis Club to participate in this annual event as the Tennis Club members challenge one another in men’s, ladies and mixed doubles. Men’s and ladies doubles will play Saturday and mixed doubles will be on Sunday. Teams will be split into divisions to create a fun, yet competitive event. Must be a Tennis Club member. 9 a.m. TBA
Saturday – Sunday, August 1 – 2 Junior Singles and Doubles Tournament – Calling all 18-and-under tennis stars to Tahoe Donner for the Annual Junior Tournament. This competitive event challenges junior tennis players of all ages and will even feature a Little Tennis event for the 10-and-under crowd. The format will have participants playing multiple times throughout the afternoon, featuring singles play on Saturday and doubles play on Sunday. 1 p.m. $15 singles, $10 doubles
Saturday – Sunday, August 8 – 9 Tahoe Donner Annual Compass Tournament – This year’s Compass Tournament will be the talk of the town. From an expanded format that includes men’s women’s and mixed doubles to the addition of a 6.0 division and the Saturday night players’ party, this year’s event has it all. The format gives players a chance to play multiple matches as teams arrive from all points of the compass to compete. Draws are limited to 16 teams so sign up early. Draw, Times TBA $50

Saturday, August 22 Mexican Fiesta Round Robin – Don’t miss the chance to fill up on the best homemade Mexican cuisine around. The evening starts with a few hours of tennis followed by a Mexican feast that you will not forget as well as a tennis pinata challenge. Ace and margaritas will be served in the must attend evening of fun and food. 4 p.m. $20, $18 TCM
Saturday – Sunday, August 29 – 30 Pam Krone Memorial USTA Tournament and Fundraiser NTRP and Junior Challenger Event NTRP– Bring the whole family for a weekend of fun as the Tahoe Donner Tennis Center hosts the first Annual Pam Krone USTA NTRP and Junior Challenger Tournament. This event gives us the opportunity to remember a friend of tennis while helping to raise money for a number of local causes. Some of the past events have focused on scholarships for local students as well as helping the fight against cancer. Saturday, September 5 University of Nevada Pro/Am Exhibition – Join the University of Nevada Wolfpack Men’s Tennis Team for an afternoon of great tennis. Team up with one of the Nevada players and compete in an afternoon of doubles action or just come down and watch some of your fellow Tahoe Donner tennis friends compete. The event finishes off with food, drinks, and the University men playing each other in a high quality exhibition. All proceeds go to help support the Nevada Men’s Tennis Team. The exhibition event is free to watch. Donations include signed team programs. Pro/Am 1 p.m.;

Saturday – Sunday, September 26 – 27 Tahoe Donner’s First Annual USTA Fall Junior Challenger – This final event of the season is a focus on the continued growth of Junior Tennis in the Reno/Tahoe area. This tournament completes the circuit of USTA Junior Events in this region. We are proud to host two of only four USTA Tournaments available to junior players. The Challenger division is designed to help those players continue to push their level of play toward the Open Divisions.  Reservations Policy
Court Reservation Policy
Five of our eleven courts are available on a reservation basis for our members. Reservations may be made in person or by telephone, after 9:30 a.m., for the following day. Reservations are booked and rotate at the top of every hour. When booking courts please make sure to have all the players’ names available, this will help reduce the chance of double bookings. Two-hour reservations for morning play will only be made from 8 – 10 a.m. and 10 a.m. – noon. Please check in before your scheduled time. All reservations not claimed within five minutes of the start time will be reassigned to the first party on the waiting list.

Court Walk-on Policy

The remaining six courts are available for walk-on play. If you are not able to make reservations you can use an available walk-on court. Walk-on courts rotate every 1 1/4 hours for singles play and 1 3/4 hours for doubles play. Walk-on courts will be booked on a first come first serve basis. If all courts are occupied you will be placed on a wait list and given a start time. All walk-on courts not immediately claimed will be passed to the next party on the wait list. The number of walk-on courts available will be limited to help accommodate lesson and clinic demand.
